Stanley Philip is the Class of 2018 Valedictorian of John A. Dubiski Career High School in Grand Prairie (Dallas), TX. He graduated Summa Cum Laude (with Highest Honors) and he sung The National Anthem at the schools graduation ceremony. Stanley is the youngest son of Philip Baby (Shajan) [Punnackalthekkethil, Aranoottimangalam, Mavelikara and Shirley Philip (Minia) Parampathoor, Thittamel, Chengannur. He has an older sister, Stacy Philip, who is a medical student, and an older brother, Steven Philip, who is a pharmacy student. Stanleys older sister, Stacy, was the Valedictorian at South Grand Prairie High School in 2012 and his older brother, Steven, was also the Valedictorian at John A. Dubiski Career High School in 2015. Now, all three children in the family have been Valedictorians. In addition to studying hard, Stanley is also very actively involved in both his school and community. During his high school career, Stanley was a member of Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA), SkillsUSA, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Student Council, and the Student Voice Committee. He was also a Student Intern at Smile and Health Dental in Grand Prairie, TX and a Student Intern at Baylor, Scott, & White Medical Center in Irving, TX. Before graduating high school, Stanley received his CPR and OSHA certifications, and is also a licensed Registered Texas Dental Assistant. Stanley won area and district awards for completing his community service project, The Rotary Dental Sealant Program, and he is an avid volunteer in the community. Stanley is a member of IPC Ebenezer Full Gospel Assembly in Irving, Texas, pastored by Rev. Dr. Baby Varghese. Here at his church, Stanley is a singer in the English Praise and Worship Team and plays the violin in the Malayalam Choir. He also helps with the Childrens Church ministry, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival, is a Committee Member for the Pentecostal Young Peoples Association (PYPA), and assists at all activities and events wherever needed. Stanley attributes his success to Gods grace and faithfulness, his parents sacrifices, and his family and friends love, support, and encouragement. Stanley plans to attend The University of Texas at San Antonio in the fall of 2018 with a major in Biology as he pursues Pre-Dental.
